Early Childhood Education
COA’s Early Education Center gives Milwaukee’s youngest learners a strong start. Licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families, COA provides high-quality early childhood education for learners aged 6 weeks to 5 years. For those who qualify, we also provide Early Head Start and Head Start programming in partnership with Next Door. Through this collaboration, COA’s teachers and administrators have access to continuing education, classroom support, and a network of resources that uphold Creative Curriculum’s Gold Teaching Standards—ensuring every child receives the best possible foundation for lifelong learning.
Our educational philosophy is that children learn best when they are provided hands-on experiences. In each of our classrooms, the Early Education Center provides content-rich, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports children’s natural curiosity and interests while fostering critical thinking skills and healthy social-emotional development, and building the competencies they need to be successful learners.

COA accepts both Wisconsin Shares and private pay.

COA’s Riverwest Early Education Center is one of only a handful of childcare centers in urban Milwaukee to have been nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our center also holds a five-star YoungStar rating!
