For 120 years, COA Youth & Family Centers has created meaningful, life-shaping experiences for thousands of Milwaukee’s young people, building a legacy as one of Wisconsin's longest-standing camp organizations.
That legacy lives on at Camp Helen Brachman in Almond, Wisconsin. Set across more than 200 acres of rolling prairie, towering pines, and beautiful natural surroundings, the camp offers a welcoming space where people of all ages can connect, learn, grow, and create lasting memories. Guided by a commitment to community, inclusion, and meaningful experiences, Camp Helen Brachman provides opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, strengthen relationships, and foster a deeper connection to others, nature, and oneself.

Camp Helen Brachman is built around intentionality through our structured schedule that promotes fun, safe camp experienced that is guided upon our foundational values:
Kindness, strength, Support, respect, and responsibility
Camp Helen Brachman is a place where lasting memories take shape. Through thoughtfully designed, progressive programming that builds from one experience to the next, each camper is supported in trying new things and reaching their full potential. Every moment is designed to create experiences that stay with campers long after camp ends.
We take pride in offering a wide variety of activities for every camper to explore. From water adventures and sports to hands-on nature experiences, there’s something for every child to discover, enjoy, and grow in confidence as they build new skills and find what they love.
