The Richard and Ethel Herzfeld Foundation has generously contributed a grant of $150,000 to support the construction of the new Early Education Center (EEC) at COA’s Goldin Center campus. The new EEC early education center will provide quality learning and development opportunities for low-income children (birth to six years). The project is part of a larger initiative to support early child development through increasedaccess to pediatric healthcare services, school readiness programming, and parenting supports and resources in the surrounding Amani neighborhood. The Herzfeld Foundation is also a long-time supporter of COA’s HIPPY program and was a Legacy Leader Donor to the agency’s 100th anniversary campaign. It joins the Burke Foundation as a funder of this exciting and critical programming expansion and partner in the effort to revitalize and transform Amani.
