HIPPY/Milwaukee
HIPPY has a positive impact on the success of children in school and the involvement of parents in the education of their children. Since its inception in 1998, HIPPY has grown from a one-school partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools to partnering with eleven schools in 2004-05. This school year, 2005-06, the program will expand to sixteen MPS school partnerships.

Family Gathering Night
HIPPY families gather for dinner, entertainment, and educational activities each month.

Parent Involvement - School Readiness
HIPPY gives parents the tools, skills, and confidence they need to be the primary educators of the children. HIPPY gives children the school readiness skills they need to succeed. For example, children will gain skill in early literacy, problem solving, listening, and practice in following instructions.
