Get Involved IN YOUR CHILD’S EDUCATION…EVERY DAY!

If you are involved in your child’s education every day, your child will do well.
Every day, ask your child, “What did you do in school today?”
Every day, ask your child about homework, and offer to help.
•  Every day, make sure your child is in school.
Come to school events for parents and kids.
•  Be sure to attend parent-teacher conferences.
Participate in reading programs and make sure you read at home.

Your child’s academic success begins at home with you!
As a parent, your involvement every day is the key to your child’s academic success.  You are your child’s first and most important teacher.

Remember:   No one has a bigger influence on your child than you - the parent.

Recent research presented by the Harvard Family Research Project's (HFRP) Family Involvement Research Digests has shown that increased family involvement in school had greater implications for children's literacy than did family income, maternal level of education, or child ethnicity.  For full details of this article click here http://www.hfrp.org/family-involvement/publications-resources/family-involvement-in-school-and-low-income-children-s-literacy-performance
