1990 - 1999

Major changes took place early in the decade. Camp Sidney Cohen, Camp Flambeau, and two smaller properties were sold. They were replaced by a 200-acre camp near Waupaca named Camp Helen Brachman after COA's President from 1929-1930. This new camp enabled COA to combine both camps and the youth worker program on one site and to provide a year-round retreat center.

A new child care and community center was built on the site of the former Creative Playground, complete with a full-size gymnasium. Collaboration was the name of the game in the 1990s and COA joined with other organizations to provide a family resource center, computer learning lab, a Head Start program, a home instruction program for parents, and other programs in the Lapham Park Housing Development.
