COA programs continued to expand. Camp Sidney Cohen was providing specialty camping which included a teen-parent camp, family camp, and a weight management camp. The nursery school program had grown to include all-day care and a latchkey program to meet the needs of the times. The expanding year-round youth employment program was moved to a storefront on Bremen Street in the Riverwest neighborhood.
Development surrounded Camp Sidney Cohen and it was no longer "out in the country." It was time for the Board to set new long-range goals for our agency. Objectives included expanding facilities for camping, child care, and youth programs.
