COA Youth & Family Centers’ Oscar Experience® Gala is the only Oscar party in the state sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. is held every February and features a formal dinner, an elaborate silent auction, live entertainment, and presentation of the Academy Awards®. We at COA are honored to be selected as the only nonprofit organization in Wisconsin to be officially sanctioned by the Academy to host this exciting fundraising opportunity that provides critical support for COA programs.

Since 1982, COA has honored local parents who demonstrate qualities of leadership, community service, and commitment to family. Our Parents of the Year Luncheon is a wonderful event with strong ties to our mission, and provides a memorable day filled with joy, laughter, and pride for the families involved.

Every summer COA hosts a free summer outdoor concert series held at Kadish Park in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood. The family-friendly concerts feature some of Milwaukee’s most popular bands performing against a spectacular skyline backdrop. Skyline Music brings together an audience of all ages, races and socio-economic backgrounds in one of Milwaukee’s most vibrant urban green spaces.
